Shahi Tukray recipe with condensed milk
Ingredients for Shahi Tukray
6-8 white bread slices
1 tin sweetened condensed milk
1 ½ cup milk
¼ tsp green cardamom powder
1 Tbsp cornflour mixed with 3 Tbsp water
oil for shallow frying
½ cup slivered almonds and pistachios
Edible silver leaves
Shahi Tukray preparation method
Cut the bread slices diagonally in halves.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the bread slices until golden brown on both sides. Take out on a kitchen paper.
In another frying pan, take milk, condensed milk, cardamom powder and bring to a boil. Add the cornflour mixture and continue cooking for 3-5 min, stirring continuously. Turn off the heat. Place the bread slices carefully in the pan and coat both sides with the milk mixture. Take out on a serving dish and garnish with nuts and edible silver leaves.
