Tuna can 160gm ( i have used light meat goody tuna in olive oil)
Potatoes boiled n mashed 3 medium size
Freshly chopped garlic 1tsp
Freshly pounded cumin 1 tbsp
Freshly pounded mustard seeds 1tsp
Onion finely chopped 1/2 cup
Coriander finely chopped 1/2 cup
Desiccated coconut: 5tbsp
Lemon juice 1 big lemon
Red chili flakes:1.5 Tsp
Heat oil in pan add chopped garlic, sauté and add onion let it gets soft then add tuna from the can with it’s oil, cook for a minute then add coriander and salt, crushed red chilli flakes let it all mix then add mashed potatoes, crushed cumin, crushed mustard, desiccated coconut, chopped green chilies and mix well. Cook for another minute add butter on top and it’s ready.
They serve it with roshi ( which is actually roti of white flour) I serve it with roti or even use this in sandwiches as filling. Or with daal chawal.
Original mashuri has tuna, chopped onion, chopped coriander, chopped chilies, desiccated coconut like 7-8 tbsp in one can tuna, red chili flakes, lemon juice, cumin powder and salt
